With utmost pride, satisfaction and excitement, I'm pleased to announce the official release of The Betrayed, the first book of The Lost Words epic fantasy series. The novel has been published just a few days ago and is available in online stores in paperback format. E-book edition is coming soon.
And now, let's announce the surprise I've been hinting on for the past few months. I want to give away ten books for free. At this point in life, I'm not yet a best-selling celebrity, but one day, I might be, and having a first edition release on your shelf might account to something. So please read on to learn how you can enter the contest and win your own copy.
All right, so here's how it goes. What you need to do is send me an email with a short 2-3 sentence paragraph elaborating on your favorite software. It can be a security product, a media player, a text editor, anything you like.
The contest will run for two weeks, after which no additional submissions will be accepted. After that, I will run a highly subjective one-man judging session and choose the ten best entries. If you win, you will be contacted to provide your shipping address, or if you so dearly value your privacy, an alternative means of getting the book. It is also entirely possibly that fewer than ten people will be interested in participating, in which case I will huddle in a corner and cry, forever alone.
Now, there's a catch - the second half of this contest. After receiving the book, you promise to read it, and more importantly, write an honest review on Amazon, be it good or bad. If it's good, great, if not, still great.
Once the contest is over, I will announce the winners by name or pseudonym, whatever you prefer, and write an article listing the winning entries. This will also be a nice community contribution slash vote overall.
Please send your mails titled: The Betrayed contest, in plain text only.
